Pocket Kings Ltd v Safenames Ltd and the Commonwealth of Kentucky

On 16th October 2009 judgment in default was entered against Kentucky in Pocket Kings Ltd v Safenames Ltd and the Commonwealth of Kentucky [2009] EWHC 2529 (Ch). The judge considered Kentucky's potential state immunity in proceedings brought by Pocket Kings to prevent future enforcement in the UK of a US order for seizure of Pocket Kings' domain name fulltiltpoker.com. Jeremy Reed acted as junior counsel for Pocket Kings. Christopher de Mauny appeared for Safenames, the UK domain name registrar.
