Fees

Chambers accepts privately paid work, conditional fee arrangements (in appropriate cases) and publicly funded cases through direct public access.

The level of fees charged by members of chambers depends upon the seniority of counsel, the length and complexity of the case and the urgency of the case.  The clerking team will bear these factors in mind when suggesting fees for particular cases.   Charges for paperwork and conferences are based on hourly rates.  Hourly rates for members can be obtained from the clerking team. Fees can be agreed in advance with the clerks and where appropriate a maximum fee can be agreed.

We understand that litigation can be an expensive process and we recognise the need to remain flexible and competitive.

Please note that due to recent changes in the Law Society guidelines, Hogarth Chambers now accepts instructions and briefs on a contractual basis and in accordance with its terms and conditions.
