Jonathan Moss is delighted to have accepted an offer of tenancy at Hogarth Chambers having recently completed his pupillage.
During his pupillage Jonathan was involved in a broad range of intellectual property and Chancery matters. His experience includes patent litigation (UK and EPO), trade marks, passing off, copyright, design right, confidential information and search orders, as well as insolvency and general contractual. He has appeared in the High Court in winding-up proceedings and in the County Court on copyright matters. Jonathan has advised a number of charities on trade mark and copyright disputes, and has also advised a private security company over a potential defamation claim.
Before joining Hogarth, Jonathan gained joint honours in Chemistry and Law at the University of Bristol. He then undertook an LL.M at Georgetown University in Washington DC focusing on US intellectual property, antitrust and private international law. He was admitted to the New York Bar and worked for 2 years as a US Attorney in the London office of Mayer Brown. Whilst at Mayer Brown he worked in the Intellectual Property group and spent time on secondment at Rentokil Initial PLC and Sega (Europe) Ltd.
Jonathan regularly plays hockey and also enjoys skiing and squash.
